NYC

On my way back to DC for a night before we head to Ft Lauderdale for Jam Cruise. Attendees include myself, John and Kevin who reside in San Diego, and Cory from VA beach.

new years eve limo ride
2 days of Phish at MSG were incredible. On the first night, I got separated from the pack and misplaced my jacket (which had my phone in the pocket) so I ended up wandering around the Garden until the ushers made me leave in protest-no jacket meant I would meet my end via exposure. However, the adult beverages helped keep me warm enough to hail a taxi and show the driver the address of the ymca hostel I was staying at on my room key (words were not exiting my mouth properly). Needless to say, I got some good rest on that first night while my friends called central booking, hoping that i thrown in the drunk tank.

walking into the garden
Second night was a tad crazier. at about 1pm i heard a voice from the hallway say "well fellas, moment of truth" right then i opened the door to the joyful amazement of the crew - like being reunited with a long lost family member. after a 4pm breakfast we headed to the garden fully stocked with bottles of champaigne and whiskey just in time to meet up with john's folks (who were in excellent concert form). the set was incredible and culminated with all the band members riding the hotdog thats been in the rock n roll hall of fame for the past 15 years, across the ceiling while champaigne bottles popped and mini hotdogs were being thrown at audience members.  outside we called a limo driver that my cohorts came into contact with the night before. new years continued with a limo ride to brooklin while drinking bud pounders. we ended up at a party where i found a sweet blue eyed girl that was nice enough to let me bunk with her, while my friends continued to keep that party going through the morning - ending the night 4 fellas deep on a stand alone bunk bed at the hostel. we all rendevous at grand central station, took a train out of the city and have experienced some great hospitality from kevin's dad in rye, ny and his sister in philly.

jam cruise next.

peace.

"A Quick One... While I'm Away"

So I got back from West Palm 2 days ago, quickest Xmas visit in recent memory.  Nothing to report but my new Stevie Ray Vaughan and Muddy Water DVDs.  As of 10:30 this morning I'll be on a bus headed to the Bloomberg logistical disaster we call New York City.  Phishing for 2 nights and trying to find couches to crash on.

peace.

"Anything interesting happen last night?" You ask.

Actually yes it did...

Mazada meets Honda
Total damage to their Honda Odyssey = $1600. Just slightly more than my car is worth (by $1000). Like a good neighbor Statefarm was there... But they didn't bring me a sandwich or a hot girlfriend. False advertising.

Okay

So I'm starting a blog for friends and family who would like to keep up with the sometimes crazy, sometimes times out of control, and most times simple moments in my life.  For the next few weeks it should be especially crazy - home to FL for the holiday season, NYC for 2 days of Phish, and a week in the Atlantic Ocean for Jam Cruise.  Hope you all enjoy.
